Hello, everyone who continues to peruse this webpage for information on their favorite comics. It has been a while since i last posted a comic book review and for that i am terribly sorry because it is something i enjoyed doing. I intend to begin reviewing comics once again as i am now finishing up a double schedule of schooling that has taken place over the last 6 months.

I will not be as comic-review intense as days gone by because i am still prepping for law school, but i will give you the readers what i can, when i can. Until then i want to help a buddy out, some of you may know him from VsRealms as Tchalla, but i just call him Curtis! He does not deserve as mush esteem as the King of Wakanda! Curtis has been in the world of comics longer than i could possibly imagine and been a collector probably even longer, for sometime now he has been sculpting Custom Action figures and i wanted to highlight some of his work whihc can be found at www.ThornChronicles.com, check out his work!

I look forward to reviewing comics once again for you the reader and catching all of you who loved Versus System the game on the updates available at VsSystem.Org where the players continue to supporct the TCG we all loved.

I want to thank Flashback over on VSRealms for his work on the new Marvel Evolutions set for MWS and updating the Marvel Ultimates set as well. I have been too busy with school and this blog in order to get on top of any of that and since MWS is quickly becming the online program of choice to play Versus System it is good to having a helping hand, Thanks Flashback. The files can be found int he right panel of this blog page and over on VSrealms. On another note... for some reasn my blog is not being syndicated over on VSrealms, i don't know why, but i will continue to post updates over on TCGplayer and remember the easiest way to know is to just subscribe to the blog by accepting the blogger feed at the bottom of every post or in the upper left corner of the blog. It doesn't cost a dime so grab the feed and link it on your pages. Coming up I have alot of comics to get through including some favorites; Nova, Guardians of the Galaxy, the aftermath of the Ultimatum Wave in Ultimate Fantastic Four and X-Men and the Superman:New Krypton series as well. So stay tuned, visit the blog often and leave comments and let me know what you think. Last note the server is back up, so go try out the new expansion and get over to your local comic book shop and see if they have some packs, get your friends involved and enjoy squaring off table side with your favorite heroes or villains, i know i will!

Three days and counting and the biggest Versus event of the year will take stage in Columbus Ohio. Every player will swarm the convention center with hopes of being named number 1 in the world with some concoction of scarce, but valuable cards from the latest sets in the Versus TCG. Are you going to be there? If you are not don't worry many of the players including myself will be reporting from the event.

I want to let you all know the server is back up. Now there is going to be some things that will not happen on the site this week as you all can assume. First and foremost for those who are looking forward to this weeks comics I apologize. You will have to wait until next monday to get your fix, luckily there are not that many titles that are hitting shelves this week that i am too concerned with reviewing. Final Crisis #2 is probably the biggest hitting the shelf and well I am not too excited about that right now, the hype seems not worth the wait. I also hope you like the new layout of the site. I am trying to streamline the site as best as possible to make it as efficient as possible. The new peakaboo post helps with the lengthy reviews along with the scans, just remember to select read more to expand the article and get the full review along with the scans and then hit summary which will collapse the article. Specific comic titles can still be accessed ont he left colum as well as new on the VS server and Sets. Enjoy!

Let me take this moment to explain whats going on this weekend as far as my plans are concerned. I have an early flight leaving out of Washington D.C. and arriving in Ohio at about 10 in the AM. I plan on heading over to the convention center and getting some MUN draft in, mainly just to gather up some cards, but as practice in case I happen to make day 2. Right now i still plan on playing an Illuminati deck. The one i posted on this site with some minor tweaks. Remember for me this tournament is more about fun, so unless i arrive on the scene and find I have absolutely no chance of having fun playing an Illuminati deck then that is what i will be playing. The only problem is there are alot of decks including Avengers and Hulk that hit the field hard by turns 4 and 5 and will deal with Illuminati quicker than the Illuminati engine can come online. I plan on taking a World's Finest deck just in case though.

You should be able to follow my tourney play and others as well right here. Hopefully, I can get the podcast going so i can do quick downloads and uploads, that is also provided the Convention center has wifi connectivity.

Either way, I am meeting up with T'Challa and we will discuss my best course of action. Friday i am going to play in the Modern Age event and if i scrub out i will play some of the side events, Draft and Sealed play. I will follow the main event closely whatever happens and get the info on this site quickly. If T'Challa wants i'll follow whatever deck he plays as well. Sunday i have an after 6pm flight home so that should give me plentyof time to follow the ending to the event, if not i apologize.

I'm looking forward to meeting all the aliases as this will be my first major tournament, i have only participated in 2 due to work, i am pretty good at building viable decks the only thing is getting the cards to play them or rather having a place to play them hear in Richmond, Virginia.

As a last note for those remaining behind and looking forward to using my server, darkseid.servegame.com, it's up as long as it doesn't go down while I am away. I am sorry, but i dont have remote access to my pc at the moment and waiting on seeing if it is worth it to get that deep into maintaining. Have fun and to those i have not met, I bring you Illumination!

P.S. My only regret about going to Worlds is I will be missing a young lady who is beautiful and wil be jumpin and waving at Carnivale in the D.C. area. Her dad is a hell of a guitarist as well and he will be playing so i am sad to miss that.

Just a short update on the blog! First I have added the community blog roll. I really must thank gdaybloke for this as it was he who inspired me to say hey these blogs are a part of the larger community. To the left are some of the blogs I frequent the most, so take a look at them and see if there is anything you like about them.

Kamiza has been a long standing member of the VS community and both VS Network and the-Kamiza.com are excellent sources of material. Lost Hemisphere has a number of writers over there, Crime Lords month was an innovative idea. T-Man’s blog is a great source of information on card rulings, he is definitely a rules there is no better place than T-Man’s blog other than directly from UDE itself, Consulting the Orb is a great series going on over there. I just started viewing Kalee’s blog after his longest ever preview article, but he has some interesting things going on over so take a look.

VS System is about to get a much needed injection of adrenaline with the Marvel Universe set that is due out mid-June. If you love the game do your best to get to your local hobby store and pre-order the set. You can do so online as well. I like to shop at www.coolstuffinc.com where they have the best deals around as far as I can tell.

I told you guys that reviews on comics and on-going series would be coming at a rapid pace this month, I wasn’t lying. As my Comic base broadens so will the reviews and scans. Unfortunately I have been blocked from Photobucket at work so getting some things done during my down time has been limited.

There is a lot to look forward to this month and coming months. Today I will go pick up Guardians of The Galaxy which is written by none other than Abnett and Lanning. Everything these two touches are turning to gold so hopefully Guardians will as well. On top of that we still have another edition of VS Reflections: Thor coming up, I hope you enjoyed VS Reflections: Howling Commandos. Next week we get another look at the new Howling Commando in Mighty Avengers #14 and we still have our Hidden Gem review of Moon Knight. All of this and more along with reviews of MUN preview cards. Standby…
